Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are getting ready for Red Ribbon Week Monday, October 25 - Friday, October 29. Students will engage in activities that promote a drug free and healthy lifestyle. Please partner with us and discuss this message at home, at the dinner table, at family outings, and with friends and extended family.
Red Ribbon Week is a national celebration that promotes and encourages students to choose to be drug free. When we respect ourselves and make healthy choices, we are better able to lead as caring, respectful and active members in the community. We set our goals to be the best we can be and also show great character by staying Drug Free.
Monday, October 25
“Can’t hide our DES pride” - (wear black and gold)
Tuesday, October, 26
“Give drugs the boot” - (wear country/western attire)
Wednesday, October 27
“Peace out to Drugs - Like TOTALLY” - (decades day, tie dye, parachute pants, leg warmers, crimped hair)
Thursday, October 28
“We are brave and united against drugs” (wear red, white, and blue)
Friday, October 29

Please continue to follow the school dress code when planning your attire for the week. Promoting positive attitudes is a key factor in preventing future alcohol and other drug use. Please talk to your student about making healthy choices.
