Every student MUST take a midterm. The only students who may be exempt are those who are enrolled in ½ credit class and meet the exemption requirements. (Personal Finance, Wellness/PE, Government/Econ, and Driver’s ED, -See the bottom of page)
All students will stay with their assigned test group during the entire testing period. There will be NO checkouts or phone calls during the exam period. No student should be dismissed from an exam period or class to come to the office to check out.
Forms for exemptions must be returned with signatures by December 13.
Students who have not returned the exemption form or do not have a note to check out at the appropriate time will not be dismissed.
Students may check out with properly signed notes if they do not have any exams remaining on their schedule for that day (Students must have a parent note or parent sign them out. NO PHONE CALLS) Students will go to their first study hall teacher for the afternoon to sign out and turn in their notes. Students will then go by their 2nd study hall.
Exams must be taken at the scheduled exam time unless the principal approves the change. Exams will not be rescheduled except for emergency/medical/or principal-approved reasons. These exams are 15% of the semester average.
Projects or presentations can’t be a midterm exam. Exams should be reflective of the work completed in class based on state standards.
Students should pay all school fees prior to the first exam, including lunch, library, etc. If you have a student who owes money in the cafeteria, please tell them to take care of this ASAP!
Semester Course Final Exemption Requirements
A/B Course Semester (Driver’s Education, Econ, Government, Finance, PE, Wellness)
90-100 – No more than 2 absences
80-89 – No more than 1 absence
60-79 – No absences
< 60 - Not Exempt
