GHS Dress Code Policy
The following are merely guidelines for appropriate dress and are not intended to be an exhaustive list. All dress code violations will be determined at the discretion of the administration. Students who do not comply with the dress code will be subject to disciplinary action.
- All apparel or accessories worn to school may not display or advertise the following:
- NO HOLES OR FRAYS ABOVE THE KNEE (HOLES ABOVE KNEE MUST BE PATCHED OR HAVE ANOTHER FORM OF CLOTHING UNDER THE HOLE)
- No sleeveless shirts or tank tops
- No visible tattoos
- No chains or dog collars to be worn or carried to school
- No unnatural shades of hair coloring such as neon green, yellow, purple, red, etc
- Pierced ears with appropriate jewelry are acceptable. Other pierced body parts with attached jewelry, studs, ornaments, etc. is not to be worn.
- No spiked or mohawk hair style
- Sweat pants must be size appropriate.
- Leggings, yoga pants, spandex pants, and other similar styles must be covered by shorts, shirts, or skirts that are knee length.
- Shorts of any kind are not permitted.
- Dresses, skirts and etc. must be knee length.
- Gang affiliation or gang sign (including bandanas)
- Tobacco products
- Profanity
- Alcoholic products
- Drugs or drug paraphernalia
- Sexual themes
- Ethnic groups or signs
- Racist overtures
- Other suggestive or offensive sayings or graphics
*Any other fads or styles that come along will be dealt with as they come up
