This week Sophie Linder won the TSSAA Small Class Golf Championship. Monday Sophie set the lowest 18 hole round in TSSAA Championship history with a 63, but had to hold off a huge charge by Summertown's Karlie Campbell on Tuesday. The final round had to go into sudden death, but Sophie was able to birdie the first playoff hole to win the State Championship. Sophie's 36 hole total of 132 tied the 36 hole record total she set the prior year. This was Sophie’s fourth consecutive Individual State Championship. Throughout Sophie’s career at GHS she has achieved many accolades:
- 4 Time District Champion
- 4 Time Region Champion
- Never lost a match in 4 years
- 4 Time State Champion
- One of only 4 girls to win 4 State Championships
- The #1 and #2 all-time 18 hole rounds in State Championship history. (64 and 63)
- Broke the 36-hole State Championship scoring round at 132 her Junior Year and Tied it her Senior Year
- She also has the 9th lowest 36-hole round at 138.
- Won the Golf Capital of Tennessee Women’s Open
- Won the Tennessee Junior Amateur
- Only Person to ever win both of these tournaments in the same year
- Sophie is committed to continue her education and golf career at Ole Miss
