UHS is excited to welcome some new faces to UHS and a familiar face.
Hannah Culwell is our new 7th/8th Grade ELA and Social Studies Teacher. Hannah graduated from Tennessee Tech in May with a degree in Special Education. Hannah knew that she always wanted to focus on humanities and helping people no matter what age. She is excited to start her career at UHS this fall !!
Kara Silva is our new Full Time Sub. Kara is a Smith County Native and graduated from Smith County High School. She has been a substitute teacher for the past two years. She has found a love for the school system and she is planning to become a certified elementary school teacher. She is married with 3 children.
Erin Wright is our new 3rd/4th Grade Learning Loss Tutor. Erin graduated from Smith County High School in 2018. She was active in the Band Colorguard and Winterguard. She loves theater and fine arts and has found her passion for education. Erin plans someday to further her education and become a teacher. Erin has a 10 month old son name Kayson.
Lynn Taylor will be our new Kindergarten Paraprofessional. If you have been around UHS you have seen Lynn. She previous worked at UHS as a Pre-K Paraprofessional before leaving to seek other opportunities. She loved UHS so much that she has decided to return as our night time janitor and now moving up to be in Kindergarten. Lynn' is married and has three children. She has several grandchildren. Her children as well as some her grandchild have attended or is attending UHS.
