The students of UHS are preparing a Veteran's Day program to recognize the contributions that Veterans have made to our country. This program will be held on Friday, November 10th at 1:15 pm.
Parents and their guests are welcome to attend. We wish to extend a special invitation to the Veterans who are family members of our students. If you are a Veteran, are currently serving in the military or have a family member you would like for us to recognize, please fill out the section on the letter that was sent home with students last week.
Please return the form back to school by Friday, November 3rd. Feel free to copy and share the invitation with any Veteran that you may know and wish to invite to our program.
With the invitation that was sent home with our students, there was a star attached. We are asking students to write the name of any family member(s) or friend(s) who have served or who are actively serving in the military for the United States. We would like to honor these Veterans by posting their names in our school. Please write the name and military branch of the Veteran inside the star. If your person is actively serving, please color your star yellow. You are welcome to copy the star to honor more than one Veteran. All stars need to be returned by Friday, November 3rd. Please cut out your star(s)!
