UHS had the privilege to honored their eighth grade cheerleaders and basketball players. We are so thankful for these students who have dedicated their time to represent UHS. We also want to thank the parents for getting these students to practices and games, without them we would not be able to have basketball players and cheerleaders.
Here they are:
Ethan Baird, 8th Grade Basketball Player. He is escorted by his parents, Jessica and Rick Baird. Ethan has played for UHS Redcoats for 4 years. Ethan's future plans are to attend college and become a mechanical engineer.
Karlie Barrett, 8th Grade Cheerleader. She is escorted by Tasha and Mario Cason. Karlie has cheered for UHS for 5 years. Karlie's plans after high school, include college and becoming an EMT.
Peyton Binkley, 8th grade Basketball Player. He is escorted by his parents, Brittany and Larry Binkley. Peyton has played for UHS for 5 years. After graduating from UHS, he plans to attend high school and then college.
Maddy Bledsoe, 8th Grade Cheerleader. She is escorted by her parents Lisa and James Bledsoe. Maddy has cheered for UHS for 5 years. Maddy's future plans are to become a Neurologist.
Callie Butler, 8th Grade Basketball Player. She is escorted by Chad. and Ashley Boyce, and Justin and Lisa Butler. Callie has played basketball for UHS for 2 years. Callie is planning on a career in the medical field after college.
Travis Gibson, 8th Grade UHS Redcoats Mascot. He is being escorted by his parents Erika and Nathan Gibson. Travis has been the Redcoat Mascot for 2 years. Travis wants to pursue a career in engineering.
Elanie Mitchell, 8th Grade Basketball Player. She is being escorted by her parents, Leslie and Daniel Mitchell. Elanie has played for UHS basketball for 3 years and cheered for UHS 1 year. Elanie's future plans include college and getting a political science degree.
Brayden Neal, 8th Grade Basketball Player. He is escorted by his mother Courtney Griffen and little sister Tahairy. Brayden has played for UHS for 2 years. Brayden would like to continue his basketball career through high school and college.
Kyle Small, 8th Grade Basketball Player. He is escorted by his parents Cavel and Tyrone Small. Kyle has played for UHS basketball for 3 years. Kyle plans on becoming a mechanic.
Carson Swift, 8th Grade Basketball Player. He is escorted by his parents Michelle and Russ Swift. This is Carson's first year playing for UHS basketball. Carson plans on going to college after high school.
William Wallace, 8th Basketball Player. He is escorted by his father, Zachary Wallace. This is William's first year playing for UHS basketball. William plans on attending college and studying Mechanical Engineering.
Our players and cheerleaders present their parents with a small token of appreciation for all that they have done. Parents honored their players and cheerleaders with a medal for their years of dedication to UHS sports.
