The Brad Deming Memorial Bicycle Fund Donates to Union Heights Elementary
Brad Deming and a group of friends have known each other since playing Little League Baseball together. As they got older, they shared a love of hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors. Brad loved children and wanted to make a difference in their lives. He decided to purchase bicycles for children he wanted to help and asked his friends if they wanted to participate. And this is how it all began! Each year, more children were helped and more bicycles were purchased. In order to reach more children and gift them with a bicycle, Brad and his friends began to auction off deer and duck hunts to raise money. This allowed Brad’s dream to be taken to another level. When Brad passed away, his friends wanted to keep Brad’s dream of helping children alive. Together, they established the Brad Deming Memorial Bicycle Fund. They have raised thousands of dollars and given away not hundreds, but thousands of bicycles to children in Tennessee and surrounding states. With the help of Mr. Gerald Smith, Union Heights Elementary is honored to have been chosen as the recipient of bicycles again this year. These bicycles will be given to deserving children throughout the school year.
