It is no secret that hurricane Helene has devastated many areas of our country. The hardest hit area is a tiny island underneath the pan handle of Florida, call Cedar Key.
Victims of this massive storm have lost food, clothing, their homes and everything that they own, leaving countless people in urgent need of assistance. The total devastation is beyond comprehension.
Ms. Angel, our professional school Counselor, grew up in this area and has family and friends that were severely impacted by the hurricane. Ms. Angel will be traveling to Cedar Key during fall break to help with cleanup efforts and has a goal to "stock the trailer" with much needed items.
Union Heights will begin taking donations this week and continue to do so until Thursday, October 11th. We understand this is a big ask, especially considering the challenging times we all are navigating. However, rest assured that even the smallest gesture can make a significate difference in the lives of all affected families. Together we can help rebuild their lives and restored faith in humanity.
