GHS ROAR Before and After School Program will begin Monday 8/21. A family orientation meeting will be held Tuesday 8/15 from 3:15-4:30 in the library.
Thursday 8/3/23 8:00 till 10:00 half for students. First Full Day Monday 8/7/23.
Student schedules will start to appear in Skyward but they will NOT be the finalized ones until I send another message in Google Classroom that everything is finalized. Please do not send emails or messages on other platforms requesting schedule changes or asking any questions about the schedules until I have been able to finalize everything in the system. Formal & Casual Senior Pictures - July 17, 2023
Kelly Copeland Photography will be taking these pictures and the sitting fee is $40.00. The sitting fee is due the day of pictures. They accept cash,checks, or money orders. These are the only pictures that we can use in the yearbook.
Formal Pictures: We take in the gym lobby first. We provided the drap for the girls and the tux tops & tie for the boys. Girls need to wear a cami and boys need to wear a light colored t-shirt.
Casual Pictures: Will be taken at the ag center in Carthage. When you pull in it is to the left in the little wooded area. There will be signs and a tent. This one outfit is determined by the senior. The outfit must be school appropriate; no crop tops or spaghetti strap tops.
GHS student schedules are still being worked on and will not be available to view on Skyward. We will let everyone know when they are completed.
HS Baseball Tryouts: Thursday July 13 at Crump Paris Park from 1:00 till 4:00. If you can not make the Thursday date notify Coach Humes humes330@yahoo.com, or be at the indoor Tuesday at 9:00 AM.
Town of Gordonsville we would like to encourage you to help us cheer on the GHS Softball team as they leave for the 1A state championship game on Friday morning. They will leave from GHS at 8:30, join us at the school or line Main Street.

Online enrollment is open for all grades now through May 31. It will close temporarily will reopen on July 12 until the 1st day of school. Registering online greatly reduces the amount of paperwork at the beginning of the year.
Two Gordonsville High School FFA members recently passed their Elanco Veterinary Medical Applications Certification Test. Miss Abby Malone and Miss Hailey Hawthorne were tested over various aspects of the Veterinary field. The areas of knowledge include; Anatomy and Physiology, Terminology, medical mathematics, laws and ethics, and Veterinary Medical Practices. Congratulations on your accomplishments.
Gordonsville comes away with gold at County Wide Field Day
May 6th, 2023 at 6 pm the Gordonsville High School FFA chapter will celebrate its members' accomplishments with the GHS FFA Blue and Gold Awards Banquet. The program will begin at 6 pm in the GHS Gym. The chapter's contest teams, degree recipients, and 2023-2024 officer applicants will be recognized along with special awards honoring several of our member's accomplishments. Parents and guests are invited to join our members in this time of celebration.
District 7A Tournament is being hosted by the Gordonsville Tigers: May 4, 5, 6, and 7. Game times are 5:00 and 7:00 admission $7
