August 3, the first day of school (half day) Smith County Schools will not run buses.

Smith County Events Committee will be hosting a Back to School Bash at the old Smith County Courthouse on July 30th from 4:00 till 8:00. There will be frees school supplies and other events.

The online registration process is once again open for the 2022-2023 school year. Parents will need to log into their skyward and select the returning student registration button to begin. Doing this online greatly reduces the paperwork you will have to fill out at the beginning of the year. We are looking forward to another great year.

We have had several ask questions. There will be no changes to dress code at GHS from last year. Check website for dress code.

Congratulations to Kailey Plumlee for winning the 2022 TSCA Miss Softball for Middle Tennessee. This is a great accomplishment for the freshman pitcher for the Tigerettes.


Congratulations to Gordonsville High's Baseball and Softball teams for earning spots in the TSSAA State Tournament. Go bring home the GOLD!!!!!


Online enrollment is now open for all grade levels for the 2022-2023 school year for both new and returning students. Parents please go to your skyward log in to register your students for the upcoming year. It will remain open through May 31 close temporarily, and then reopen on July 11th. Registering online reduces the paperwork you have to fill out at the beginning of the school year.

Congratulations to the Gordonsville High School Softball Team for winning the District 7A Regular Season ad Tournament Championships.


Gordonsville High School will be hosting a Freshmen Orientation will be May 2nd 5:30-6:30PM. This would be a great opportunity to learn more about high school courses and clubs, but this is not a required event. All students will be registering for their courses on Skyward in Mrs. Reeves room during ELA class with Mrs. Chandra a few days after freshman orientation. The attached forms will be handed out during orientation and will be available when Mrs. Chandra comes to ELA class for Skyward registration also.

Congratulations to Molly Jones (2nd place Chapter Review) and Kailey Hawthorne (1st Place Nationals Programs), at the FCCLA State Competition. Both young ladies qualify for the National Competition.

Basketball Region Tournament: Friday 2/25 Girls travel to Jo Byrns 7:00. Saturday 2/26 Boys travel to Trousdale 7:00.

Basketball District Tournament has been rescheduled due to threat of bas weather tonight. Girls will play 6:00 Friday and Boys 7:00 Saturday at Livingston.

1/20 and 1/22 JH County Basketball County Tournament has been postponed due to weather and high COVID numbers in the county. Reschedule dates are Thursday 1/27 and Saturday 1/29 same times at Smith County Middle.

Smith County Schools will closed Wednesday January 19 due to inclement weather.

Dual Enrollment classes begin Tuesday Jan 18th. If you are encountering problems contact the Dual Enrollment Office at Vol State.

GHS HOSA went to New Middleton today and read to the students and brought the teachers some presents.
